Got in to work a bit later than normal, but I think I can get away with that. The boss wasn't in and neither was my line manager. I shouldn't make a habit of it though.
I had to continue with the one large project that has landed on my desk. It's a bit of a biggie... over 200 files to print out, some of them running to 1000+ pages, and I have to do this while clearing all the crap from the office too. And where has this crap that I need to clear up come from? I'll tell you where - it's all the rats deserting this sinking ship of an organisation dumping their classified waste on me to shred because they "don't have the time to do it".
OK, so now I no longer have any access to the internet in the office I do have more time on my hands than I used to, but I never used to have access the internet before so I don't really have any grounds for complaint.
The blessed relief of the day was when at half-past nine this morning the photocopier stopped, my computers all shut down and the lights went out, so as there was absolutely nothing I could do - my gods, I never realised how much I rely on an electricity supply, let alone the internet! - I went for a bit of window-shopping in town. I spotted a mobile phone that I quite like the look of for £40. I'll have to look at it in more detail though, but it's available on the same tariff as my current one so it should be a matter of just slipping the SIM card into the new one if I get round to buying it. By now, you might have gathered that I'm quite good at window shopping, but absolutely useless at actually buying stuff, but I suppose that's a damn sight better than the other way around!
Nothing much else has happened today. I can't believe the highlight of my day was a bloody power outage... 
Excuse the badly composed post, I'm tired and I should really go to bed in order not to repeat this morning's mad dash.
