Holy Boots, Batman!

This afternoon when I nipped out for a quick drag, I had to walk through a particularly large puddle in order to get to the shelter.

No problemo, I thought, for I have sturdy walking-type boots on! :yes:

Step, step, step, splash, squelch, splash, squelch... eeewww! Soggy sock!

When I got to the shelter I looked at the bottom of my right boot to see how big the hole in the sole is.

It isn't a hole. The sole has split in two right across the ball of my foot. Dammit! Trip to the shoe shop for me tomorrow lunchtime, then.

I loved them daisy roots!

I agree, it is annoying when you have to retire a comfortable and favourite item of clothing or footwear.

And why is it shes feel great in the shop and then crucify your feet everytime you wear them for the next four weeks. And then need reheeling?

Oh Notbob now what can you do
a puddle has leaked through a hole in your shoe
it just goes to show, life's a bitch on the whole
it gets your feet wet, but it won't save your sole.

So take my advice and this one's a biggie
next time you're stepping outside for a ciggie
to save your poor sock getting soggy and smelly
toss out the boots and invest in a Welly!
