  • Excitement and apprehension

    Both are rising.

    6 days to go!

    I can barely contain myself - anyone got a box or a bag or something! :))

    Yes, less than a week until I meet up again with Nick, Mrs_F and Shipscook plus many others at Greenwich.
    Meno wil be there -WOOOHOOO!!!
    So will Chyna Doll, Faffajane and many more of those on my friends list.
    There will be others who aren't on my friends list, so that will be nice. I can see my friends list expanding over the next weekend, either that or people will see me for what I am and decide they don't want to know me any more. That's where the apprehension kicks in. Will they like me? Will I like them? Will I get falling down drunk and stupid and be left stranded miles from home in a stupor?

    Aaah, feckit! I'm just going to be me. If they like me then it'll be alright. If they don't - well, I can only be me, can't I?

    Just nipped out for a ciggie and one of the bar staff has been out all afternoon drinking cider. Bless him he's only young, but four pints of the stuff have knocked him out and he is currently asleep out in the beer garden sat down with his head resting on a table with his fifth pint in front of him. Lightweight!

    He's going to regret trying to chat up one of the regulars' just-turned-eighteen year old daughter.

    Brings back memories of when I was that age. I never got that pissed, though!

  • Lazy day and dropping out

    What a slow day today's been.
    Even the snooker seemed exciting.

    Got up about 9ish, didn't do much until lunch. Had lunch (sausage and chips). watched a bit of snooker.
    And now I'm down the pub and there are only about half-a-dozen other people here. Ye gadz, it's quiet.

    I've just spent the last half hour trying to stay connected to the 'net, but for some reason the signal just drops out for absolutely no fathomable reason, which is a pain in the proverbial.

    Ho-hum.

    Time for a bit of a wander round, see what's going on on other sites.
