Modern communcations and transport these days have lead more and more people to believe that the world is getting smaller day by day. If this is the case then why does the price of postage keep going up?

cos they've crammed so many houses all in little cul-de-sacs into playing fields and peoples' back gardens that the distance from a to b is taking three times as long
