I'm down the pub again (surprise, surprise) and they've run out of draught cider. 
I've had to suffer a choice of either Magners or Strongbow Sirrus. Bleeurgh!
What's a guy to do, eh?

I agree that it is better than Strongbile but I suspect the reason they pour it over ice is to mask the sicky sweet flavour, it is not as nice as westons Old Rosie (which is a bottled cider) or addlebrain draft or even Aspall.
